Dabo Swinney isn’t concerned at all about losing the upcoming college football season.

The Clemson coach shared his thoughts about the upcoming season during a Friday teleconference with reporters. When asked how he was preparing for the uncertainty created by the coronavirus pandemic, Swinney shared the following comments.

“My preference is let’s get to work and go play,” Swinney said on Friday. “That’s the best-case scenario, and I think that’s what’s going to happen. I don’t have any doubt. I have zero doubt that we’re going to be playing – that the stands are going to be packed.”

Swinney then shared his thoughts on those that are eager to project months out and make predictions regarding the potential loss of the 2020 season.

“Listen, we are going to rise up and kick this thing right in the teeth and get back to our lives,” Swinney added. “That’s a long time away, man. I mean, this is April the 3rd. So, I’ve got one focus and that’s to get the Tigers in camp in August and getting ready for Georgia Tech and getting in the valley in September and I can’t wait to celebrate with all the Tiger fans.”

If nothing else, you have to appreciate his optimism.
