Alexander Bondurant was the first head coach in the history of the Ole Miss football program, leading the Rebels in their first season of existence in 1893. Ole Miss finished that season with a 4-1 record. The ’93 Rebels would be the only team Bondurant would coach at the college level. He passed away in 1937 at the age of 71.
