Billy Brewer

Billy Brewer was a college football head coach for 20 seasons from 1974-1993 at Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. He spent his final 11 seasons in Oxford, where his teams were a combined 68-55-3. Brewer’s tenure at Ole Miss was inconsistent and the Rebels posted just six winning seasons in those 11 years. They did, however, reach five bowl games, going 3-2 in those games. Brewer had two teams end a season ranked in the final Associated Press poll: his 1990 squad ended the year ranked No. 21, and his 1992 team ended the year No. 16 in the polls. Brewer’s coaching career at Ole Miss ended due to multiple recruiting improprieties, but he was inducted into the Ole Miss M-Club Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011.
