Brent Key

Brent Key is the offensive line coach at the University of Alabama.

Key joined Alabama in 2016 as the interior offensive line coach, but he was promoted to the offensive line coach in 2017, helping Alabama reach back-to-back College Football Playoff championship games and winning it all in 2017.

Key came to Alabama after a long 11-year stint at UCF under former coach George O’Leary. At UCF, Key served in a number of capacities, including offensive coordinator, running backs coach, tight ends coach, special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator. His diversified background gives Alabama a strong advantage for a position coach.

In 2012-2014, Key was a nominee for the Broyles Award, given annually to the top assistant coach in the country.

Key played for O’Leary at Georgia Tech from 1997-2000 and started 44 games for the Yellow Jackets.
