Fowler spent nine years as the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Vanderbilt University. In 2008 the Commodores defense ranked 15th nationally in pass defense, 21st in scoring defense, and 30th in total defense Under Fowler’s direction, Myron Lewis, D.J. Moore, Jonathan Goff, Jovan Haye, and Hunter Hillenmeyer were all drafted. Nine different Vanderbilt defenders earned All-Southeastern Conference honors during Fowler’s tenure. Fowler spent 16 years at Furman before working at Vanderbilt.
Worked in online, print, TV and radio. Bobby Valentine once wore a pair of my socks for 8 hours. In an awkward exchange, he handed them back to me to which they were immediately deposited in a trash can.
