C. J. McCoy coached football and basketball at the University of Florida from 1914-1916, accumulating a 9-10 record as the football coach. His teams finished 5-2 in 1914 and 4-3 in 1915 before bottoming-out to an 0-5 record in his final season in 1916. His teams were 4-9 against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association opponents.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
