Carl M. Voyles coached football for four seasons at Auburn University from 1944-1947. His teams were 15-22 in that time and just 4-17 against conference opponents. He never led a team to a winning record or finished better than seventh in the conference standings. He passed away in 1982 at the age of 83.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
