D. M. Balliet was a college football coach in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, primarily at Purdue University. He coached one game for the Auburn Tigers in 1893, registering a victory to end the season. Balliet died in 1960 at the age of 93.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
