McCarney arrived in Gainesville in 2008. In 2009, he coached the Gator defense to lead the SEC in sacks, leading a defense that ranked second in the SEC in rushing defense. Prior coaching stints for McCarney include Iowa, Wisconsin, Iowa State and South Florida.
After living in Birmingham, Ala., Jordan left the ground zero of SEC Nation to head south to Florida to tell the unique stories of the renowned tradition of SEC football. In his free time, his mission is to find the best locales around.
