Dave Morey was the head football coach at Auburn University for three seasons from 1925-1927, amassing a record of 10-10-1 as coach of the Tigers. His teams finished with winning records in 1925 and 1926, but he was 0-3 as a coach in 1927 and left Auburn after that season. Morey died in 1986 at the age of 96.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
