Dennis K. Stanley coached football at the University of Florida for eight seasons from 1931-1938, including three seasons as the head coach from 1933-1935. Stanley led the Gators to a 5-3-1 record in 1933 and a 6-3-1 record in 1934, but his 1935 regressed to 3-7 and Stanley was promptly demoted back to an assistant coach. He ended his coaching career as an assistant at Duke University and never served as a head coach again. He was 14-13-2 in three seasons as head coach of the Gators. Stanley passed away in 1983 at the age of 77.
