Edwin Harlan spent three seasons as a college football coach in the early 1900’s, including two seasons as coach of the Texas A&M Aggies from 1915-1916. His teams finished 6-2 in 1915 and 6-3 in 1916 before Harlan retired from coaching. All in all he won 17 games as a college head coach including one season at Johns Hopkins in 1911. Harlan passed away in 1939 at the age of 53.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
