Consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top recruiters by several services, Mangus, a former quarterback, played two years under Steve Spurrier at Florida in 1990 and 1991 before elevating his game post-graduation into Division III coaching success. Before arriving at South Carolina in 2009, Mangus spent three seasons at Middle Tennessee as the Blue Raiders’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
