J. White Guyn played his college football at the University of Kentucky from 1901-1905 and coached UK for three seasons from 1906-1908. He was 17-7-1 as coach of the Cats, and never coached at another school during his career. Guyn passed away in 1953 at the age of 69.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
