Bryant spent nine years, 2002 to 2010, on Vanderbilt’s defensive staff.  He coached the secondary for a majority of the time but took over the defensive coordinator position for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Bryant tutored Vanderbilt’s first-ever All-American defensive back in D.J. Moore in 2008. He also produced All-SEC defensive backs in three consecutive years — Moore in 2008, Myron Lewis in 2009 and Casey Hayward in 2010. After 10 years as a high school coach in Ohio, Bryant joined the collegiate ranks as a graduate assistant at North Carolina. After just one year in Chapel Hill, Bryant came to Vanderbilt in 2002.
