After coaching at Texas Tech, Carlen arrived in Columbia prior to the 1975 season. During his tenure at South Carolina, Carlen coached Heisman Trophy-winning running back George Rogers. His teams amassed a 45-36-1 over his seven seasons with the Gamecocks. His 45 wins are third most in program history.
After living in Birmingham, Ala., Jordan left the ground zero of SEC Nation to head south to Florida to tell the unique stories of the renowned tradition of SEC football. In his free time, his mission is to find the best locales around.
