Joe Lee Dunn spent more than a decade coaching in the SEC at four different schools, including one year as the head coach at Ole Miss in 1994. Lee served as the head coach at New Mexico from 1983-1986, and worked as defensive coordinator at South Carolina, Memphis and Ole Miss over the next seven seasons before taking over as the Rebels’ head coach. In one season as head coach, the Rebels were just 4-7 under Dunn and just 2-6 in the SEC. He was 21-37 overall as a college head coach at Ole Miss and New Mexico. Dunn also served as defensive coordinator at Arkansas in 1995 and Mississippi State from 1996-2002.
