Larry Kirksey

Kirksey served as assistant head coach and was in charge of the wide receivers at Texas A&M in 2000. He  injecting hints of the West Coast offense while Robert Ferguson and Bethel Johnson were the team’s leading receivers. Kirksey got his start as the wide receivers/tight ends coach at Miami (Ohio) in 1974. He remained there for three seasons before joining the staff at Kentucky from 1977-81 and then spent 1982 cat Kansas. From 1984 to 1993 he switched to coaching running backs at Florida (84-88), Pittsburgh (89) and Alabama (90-93). He then went to the NFL for six years to coach Jerry Rice and the rest of the 49er wide receivers.
