Archer spent 14 seasons as an assistant coach in the SEC, with stops including LSU and two separate stints at Kentucky. Archer coached the defensive backs at LSU, was promoted to defensive coordinator and finally head coach. He led the Tigers to 10 wins 1987.
His first stint in Lexington was from 1993-1995 as secondary and linebackers coach, also holding the title of assistant head coach in his final season. His second stint with the Wildcats was from 2003-2006, when he served as defensive coordinator under Rich Brooks.
After living in Birmingham, Ala., Jordan left the ground zero of SEC Nation to head south to Florida to tell the unique stories of the renowned tradition of SEC football. In his free time, his mission is to find the best locales around.
