R. L. Sullivan coached football and basketball at Ole Miss in the early 1920’s, including three seasons as the Rebels’ head football coach from 1919-1921. His teams were a combined 11-13 in that time, reaching the Bacardi Bowl in 1921 despite a 3-6 regular season. Sullivan posted one winning season – a 4-3 season in 1920. He also coached the Rebels’ basketball team from 1919-1925, posting a 66-32 record with the basketball program.
