Shawn Slocum served as assistant head coach and linebackers coach at Ole Miss in 2005, helping to develop Patrick Willis.
Slocum also has spent 11 seasons coaching at Texas A&M before the Aggies were a member of the SEC. His resume also includes the USC Trojans and Green Bay Packers.
An itinerant journalist, Christopher has moved between states 11 times in seven years. Formally an injury-prone Division I 800-meter specialist, he now wanders the Rockies in search of high peaks.
