A long-time Dennis Franchione assistant, Stan Eggen coached the defensive line at Alabama from 2001-02.
In addition, he handled the unit for Franchione at New Mexico, TCU and Texas A&M.
Eggen spent three seasons as a defensive coordinator for UNLV, but he’s spent the rest of his career as a position coach. He got his first college coaching job with the North Dakota Fighting Sioux in 1979 as the secondary coach.
An itinerant journalist, Christopher has moved between states 11 times in seven years. Formally an injury-prone Division I 800-meter specialist, he now wanders the Rockies in search of high peaks.
