Stan Hixon coached receivers and served as an assistant head coach at LSU from 2000 to 2003 in addition to spending four seasons as a South Carolina assistant coach in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Hixon also served as the receivers coach for the Washington Redskins from 2004-10. His contract wasn’t renewed when Mike Shanahan took over the team, and after three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, he connected with Bill O’Brien first at Penn State and then with the Houston Texans.
Hixon also has coached at Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Appalachian State and Morehead State.
An itinerant journalist, Christopher has moved between states 11 times in seven years. Formally an injury-prone Division I 800-meter specialist, he now wanders the Rockies in search of high peaks.
