Tennessee for the fifth straight week remains No. 1 in the latest Baseball America poll, and this week, leads 5 SEC teams in the rankings.

The Vols over the weekend at Florida won a sixth straight series to open SEC play. The Vols swept Florida in Gainesville for the first time since 2001 and improved to 17-1 in conference play, which broke an SEC record.

One new team entered the Top 25 this week. Texas A&M made its season debut at No. 23 following a series win against Arkansas, its second straight series win against a ranked team.

The other SEC teams in the poll are Arkansas at No. 10, Georgia, which moved up 2 spots to No. 16, and Auburn, which moved up 2 spots to No. 21. Georgia won 2 out of 3 at Alabama over the weekend, while Auburn swept South Carolina.

Jacob Palisch turned in 2 innings of strong relief as the Aggies topped then-No. 3 Arkansas in Sunday afternoon’s rubber match, 11-10, on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The game appeared to be firmly in hand with the Aggies at 10-3 after 5 innings, but Arkansas scored 7 of the next 8 runs to close out the scoring.
