The SEC Baseball Tournament continues on Friday at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.

The field was trimmed on Thursday as South Carolina and Auburn went home, and Florida and Arkansas improved to 2-0 and will meet the winners of the elimination games. Before the Tigers left, Bryson Ware hit home run No. 24 to become the school’s all-time leader for home runs in a single season.

For the second time this season, the Razorbacks took down LSU and the SEC Pitcher of the Year as they pounced on Paul Skenes for a season-high 5 runs in the 4th inning and held on for a 5-4 win. The Razorbacks are in the SEC Tournament semifinals for the 6th time in the last 10 seasons and the 2nd time in the last 3 years.

Gators catcher BT Riopelle delivered another impressive night and enjoyed a pair of long balls. Riopelle, who hit a game-winning 3-run homer in Wednesday’s victory over Alabama, struck again on Thursday night against Vanderbilt. Riopelle hit 2 home runs, including a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning, and finished 2-for-3 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI.
