It’s one thing to prepare for a wild SEC environment, but it’s another to actually experience it and have to deal with it for 60 minutes.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly attempted to prepare his players for Sanford Stadium this week during practice.

College GameDay caught up with Kelly Saturday morning, and he explained his team’s preparation.

“Well, we brought them into the indoor (facility),” Kelly explained. “They weren’t quite sure why we were going into the indoor while it was beautiful weather outside. But we have a great sound system in there, and I wanted to try to get it as loud as possible, and we certainly did. But what I wanted more than anything else is to handle the chaos. They did a great job. They actually took care of business relative to silent cadence and things of that nature. At the end of the day, they’re going to have to sort things out on their own in a game like this, and you try to prepare for every situation.”

Georgia’s crazy environment will certainly impact Irish quarterback Ian Book and the offense, but to what extent?

UGA has one of the best home field advantages in college football, and the Bulldogs certainly hope fans show up and show out Saturday night. Kirby Smart said on College GameDay that he expects Sanford Stadium to be the “loudest stadium in the country” against the Irish.

Georgia and Notre Dame kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS Sports.
