Jim Harbaugh won’t be sleeping over at any recruit’s house for at least the next month. Michigan announced Wednesday that it will not be allowing coaches to conduct off-campus recruiting activities or host recruits on official or unofficial campus visits between now and April 21 due to concerns over the spreading of coronavirus.

The coronavirus outbreak is starting to have a major impact on college sports. March Madness will officially be held without fans in the stands, the NCAA announced Wednesday. The Ivy League has shut down all remaining spring sports practices and games. Cincinnati has canceled its spring football game. Tulsa reportedly has two football players under quarantine.

College football fans will certainly be following closely to see if other programs follow Michigan’s lead and cancel recruiting trips and visits. Various SEC programs have already held Junior Day events for class of 2021 prospects. Prospects also tend to visit campus for teams’ spring games.

If SEC programs do not implement any recruiting restrictions, we’re sure to hear Harbaugh accuse the conference of cheating.
