Kansas HC, AD apologize after inappropriate concert by Snoop Dogg
The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team is facing sanctions and stiff penalties from the NCAA, but that didn’t stop the festive atmosphere on Friday night.
Rapper Snoop Dogg performed at the annual Midnight Madness event, at it was an interesting show, to say the least.
As you can see below, there were stripper poles, money guns and more during the explicit performance:

KU being transparent with the stripper poles. Unlike Louisville. Should score points with NCAA. pic.twitter.com/GCxCp8RSHS

Naturally, this performance led to apologies being issued by Kansas coach Bill Self and AD Jeff Long:
Kansas coach Bill Self: "I didn’t know that there was going to be anything like that. I was told this was radio edited and everything else … But no, that’s not the direction that anybody at our school would want that to go at all…"

It’s safe to ask at this point — what, exactly, were they expecting from a Snoop Dogg concert? This shouldn’t have come as a surprise to anyone in charge.
