Ryan Day reveals Ohio State has a play named after Alabama
Some plays shape the history of college football, and when talking about viral plays in recent history, perhaps no play comes to mind quicker than the Iron Bowl’s Kick Six.

Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day revealed this week on his radio show that Ohio State has a play called “Bama” for that exact purpose, and in fact, his program practices it every Thursday.
Day said OSU does have a play in which they try to return a missed long field goal. It’s called “Bama.” (Auburn beat Alabama with the famous “Kick Six” several years ago.)

No. 3 Ohio State takes on No. 13 Wisconsin this weekend in what figures to be a revealing matchup for the Buckeyes. We’ll know if they’re contenders or pretenders, but by all accounts, Ohio State is at top four team in college football in 2019.
Is Ohio State trolling Alabama? Nah; it has to do with more of one moment defining a huge play in college football history. It wouldn’t surprise us if every college football program has this exact play called Bama or Auburn.
