Report: North Carolina pauses voluntary workouts amid COVID-19 outbreak
The North Carolina Tar Heels are scheduled to take on the Auburn Tigers in Week 2 of the 2020 college football season.
However, on Wednesday, their preparations were put on hold, as 37 positive COVID-19 tests were recorded among 429 total tests given to athletes.
Per reporter R.L. Bynum, the football team has now paused its voluntary workouts for at least a week to deal with the positive tests:
UNC's football has paused voluntary workouts for at least a week after 37 of 429 COVID-19 tests of UNC athletes came back positive. The university didn't break down the positive tests by sport.

The Tar Heels are preparing for their second year under coach Mack Brown after a 7-6 record in 2019.
How long will voluntary workouts remain canceled? That’s yet to be determined, but we’ll check back in a week.
