I didn't forget. You'll note that I said "if" in reference to the next 3 weeks. I'm well aware of the controversial finishes between the Tigers and Wildcats. Let's see how this match up goes though.

I was wondering the moment I saw the telecast why the dome. Poor turf, poor lighting and hell the Missouri State HS championship game has even moved to CoMo. I personally think we missed a unique opportunity to perhaps set the game up at Busch Stadium much like the Pinstripe bowl in NY. Find a way to get that game there and at night. You will have a beautiful atmosphere in a perfect stadium. You're welcome ??
Yikes my fat fingers and these little digital keys
I believe we all hoped for a 4-0 start and now that we have it it is evident a lot of fans don't know what to feel and how to act. I felt that if we were a good team we win those 4. Nothing the focus isbthe next 3 weeks. Vandy is a must win but if we finish the stretch 7-0 there is not a single reason we shouldn't be 8-0 heading into Mov 4th. Fold we may very well have a legit shot at the SEC east tittle. Bravo BC you have far out played my expectations
Wolfman that was about one of the most sensible things I have read in a long time on here. Like you I coached for many years and I didn't need you to tell us that you were a coach to know shortly after reading your post. The shake ups at WR (Hall moving into the starting lineup) and LB where Hall and yes Garrett have began to emerge have made a big difference. Beisel, while a valuable senior leader was a little too slow, couldn't get off blocks and was prone to taking bad angles. Garrett is still a little slow but arrives with bad intentions, Hall and Warren have shown flashes on the outside. I would be remised if I didn't mention how valuable the return of Logan is which frees up LBs and Beckner by commanding doubles. I also like our G, C blocking at the point of attack is working out. Trevor Simms in particular is doing a good job of making it to the 2nd level. This team will continue to surge with the running game. Now if someone could just teach Roundtree III how to place the ball in his off hand and stiff arm his way to finishing his runs. He may even have gotten a 2 - 3 more TD's if he would have done so.
Lol Emanuel Hall reminded me of Clifford Franklin from the Replacements. Dude was all thumbs for a bit. Hell he would have easily topped 150 if not for his 4 drops.
Exactly. I feel like we are both seeing the same thing. Check out my post below. Nearly the same assessment.
I would think you have to mention or at least give an honorable mention nod to TE Albert O, WLB Terez Hall, SLB Warren and RG Trevor Simms. You guys take a good look at Simms and Hall in particular. Simms is mauling guys and making it to the 2nd level to create some nice creases for runners. Terez has been playing lights out since week 3 and in my opinion his play has been infectious and I wouldn't be surprised if it has elevated the play on Garrett as well. Beisel (for as much as we like him) was playing slow, getting hung up on blocks and taking horrible angles. I like the way the D is playing and all of my praise actually coincides with the return of AJ Logan who commands attention in the middle giving LB's a chance to free up and make plays.
Not to mention our approach at developing guys. We seldom have more than 1 or 2 guys that contribute right off the bat. We have holes to fill at MLB. DE & the secondary but we also have guys waiting in the wings. You guys are right about 1 thing though the D has to get better. That Offense will be fun to watch next year that's for sure.
Wait y'all got all that by watching games or you have been at installment, walk through and practice? We are having execution issue and drops but some of these can be fixed by (imo) running Crocket a bigger back. Again though there is some reason which we are not privileged to as to why this isn't happening. Drops on 1st down and less than 4 yrds er carry on 2nd is killing us.
Excuse me I meant to say DE not a DT
Not to mention Charles Harris is a DT. MizzouSean you are right though, Brantley and Beckner Jr, are anywhere in the top 3 on this team provided they bounce back from injury. P.I. and Orthopedic staff will push them so I think the defense will be lethal again.
