Absolutely not. Not because he doesn't deserve it, or wouldn't love it more than anyone- but because in reality- he isn't ready. No matter what- if he did not produce in 3 years- the honeymoon would be over and we would have to fire a favorite son. Go out 3-1 or even 2-2 and be the forever hero. Learn and come back when ready.
I think if you measure by that metric- you don't support Bruce either? Didn't he have to show cause when we hired him?

It only takes 11 to approve- so unless A&M can get LSU (another TX recruiter and two more (Ark and one more)- they are out of luck. And the conference wrecker that is TX is in the SEC.
Rumor has always been- "agreement" to SC- no clemson, Fl- No Miami/FSU, to A&M- No Rice, TCU, Texas etc... but it is not contractual- from a story that came out- But Texas is a cancer to confrences- SWC- Big 8 now 12- they will be a disaster in the SEC expecting to wield the same influence as they did in those.
