If anything, 6. Would work just like Conference playoffs in NFL, but with Power 5 Conference Champs, plus one "wildcard" from no conference, mid-major, or next best from one of the power 5. I'd also advocate for possibly a conference champion exemption if the team had 3+ losses, with that and the at-large or wildcard, plus seeding, determined by committee.
