I'm sure they are. But Bama fans should be even more so since Jalen left an incredible legacy at Bama: - SEC Offensive Player of The Year - 2016 (his Freshman season) - After an undefeated 2016 campaign, took Bama to NC game and scored the go-ahead TD with only couple minutes remaining in the game - Took Bama to the NC game the following year, the game Tua went 2nd and 26 for sudden death win over the dawgs - Jalen returned the favor to Tua in 2018 SECCG, stepping in 2nd half to rally Bama to big win over jawja. - Posted 27-2 record at the Capstone; won 2 SEC championships - Earned his Degree in 3 years -- he's a BAMA Graduate!!

The special team coach has to take responsibility; his players must see where the kick is going before they turn and retreat. This was totally inexcusable, just as was the horrendous snap that gave arky a TD. These two special teams' breakdowns led to 9 points. The D only gave up 17 otherwise.
Chris, a better way to state the facts: Since the opening kickoff of the 2009 season's NC game, Bama has won 6 NCs; that's 6 in the last 13 years; Texas hasn't even sniffed one since their 16-point loss to the Tide in their title matchup.
".....burnt orange and maroon and white will converge once again" Cory must have Bama mixed up with A&M; try Crimson and White!! It will be a loud, wild environment for the 1st qtr, maybe 20-25 minutes of play; UT will be pumped, but they are still a wanna-be powerhouse from the Big 12. Bama will take control and play with high energy. Look for blitz packages, including Braswell on field with Anderson and Turner; gotta put Ewers on his back often. The OL will learn lessons from week 1 and open some running lanes for Gibbs, McClellan, and Roydell W (and Sanders). Bryce and Will will lead Bama to a big road win -- 44-20
A lot of butt-hurt gawga fans on here :) I guess I'd be feeling pretty bad too if the #1 player in Alabama just committed to UGA, and that could very well happen with James Smith, 5-star DL out of Montgomery. So you guys ought to give Coach Saban and Bama credit for gaining commitments from 3 of top 4 recruits in Georgia. We'll do the same for Coach Smart and UGA when they duplicate the feat with recruits from AL.
Coach Saban is a very young 70-year old; he's in great shape physically and mentally. He could easily coach 10 more years if he wants, but about 7 more may be more realistic. Still enough to win 3 or 4 more natties. I think Lane Kiffin has a real shot to succeed the GOAT. He is a great offensive coach; if he can win at Ole Siss, he can certainly win big at Bama. All he needs to do is clean up his personal life a bit more, settle down and get married. :)
So Bama has the GOAT and the runner-up GOAT (Bryant), and had 12 natties prior to the Saban era, more than anyone else since 1900. Don't all teams try to make the best investment? Without Meyer, would UF have won in 2006 and 2008? Making good hires is part of the national championship winning formula--Bama has made 5 of those hires during its illustrious football history. It's just a testament to the Alabama football program. I wouldn't bet against them making a similar 6th hire after Coach Saban retires.
Yelp, they beat that same "beatup" Auburn team that lost the SEC CG to the team Bama would beat for the main prize. We saw UCF's single engine prop dragging their banner in the sky above the Orlando Citrus Bowl on opening day of 2018 season, what a joke! BTW, that game in Orlando was Tua's first start for Bama and a big win over Louisville.
No, I simply added the # of NCs that those SEC teams (that you correctly mentioned) won during the last 15 years, which helps clarify that Bama is King.
Yes, and # of NCs won in that 15 years (2007-2021): UF -- 1 UGA -- 1 AU -- 1 Bama-- 6 LSU -- 2 (Clemson (2), OSU, and FSU have the other 4)
Connor, For 2017 you didn't include the most pertinent fact: 2017 — Alabama (won national championship) -- defeated Gawga 26-23 in sudden death overtime, making it the most dramatic CFP NC game to date. 2017 — Auburn (lost SEC Championship) -- yes, Auburn lost the SEC CG to the team Bama would beat for the main prize.
