Yea, South Carolina won the ACC back in the 60s. Seems real relevant now. From a true football standpoint, VT would be ahead of SC and Mizzou. Miami is a dumpster fire, with apologies of course to dumpsters.
You serious Clark? Why would Dabo do that? Sorry, but that is a step back regardless of SC's conference affiliation, not to mention recruiting for them has been on the back burner the last two years or so, including a failed class from last year after Spurrier made his comment about only coaching 2 or 3 years (irony) and recruits bailed. It's gonna take a number of years to right that ship. The big question is whether or not they will allow a young coach time to get himself established. Memories are short, but there was a lot of talk that Spurrier was past him prime about 5 years into his tenure there. Then he turned it around for 3-4 years (until last year and this). A young hire won't get that leeway I believe. It could turn into another Tennessee situation.

Although not in the SEC, Clemson fans come onto the field after every game, win or lose to meet in the center of the field for the singing of the alma mater. After that kids get the opportunity to get autographs and their picture with the players. For a young kid to get any college athlete's autograph, whether it's a future NFL player or a walk-on that never sees the field, is quite amazing in their eyes. Automatically lowered goal posts will keep them intact, and a little less heavy handedness from the SEC main office would mean a lot.
