You're right- Alabama is trying to recruit against them. Swinny took less talent and beat Saban's head in- because you are married to that idiot idea of a duel-threat QB- who had NO passing skills whatsoever. Saban- is a genius- but he let an 18-yr.-old make him look stupid. And America saw it all.
SC fumbled at the end of the game at Tenn in 2015, or that game was a Gamecock win. Carolina had the WORST defensive coaching staff in the SEC, maybe in the country, last year. And USC still played close to A&M and Mizzou. The Gamecocks have those teams at home in 2016, and a likely overrated Tenn. I expect a VAST, VAST improvement in the D. If the offense just holds pat, SC wins 4 more games in 2016 than it did in 2015.
I bet Ga. is going to be a BIG surprise at how far they have to come, to get back to where Richt had them. It will take Smart a few years to learn to be an SEC coach, if he ever does. And I bet you're WAY overextending yourselves on Tenn. That team is shaky, with a downward spiral a true possibility. And I could really tell how stupid you must be when you put Mizzou in, and left SC out. Mizzou is decimated by the RACIST scandal there, and the loss of one of their best coaches, ever. You people think that jerseys beat people, when it's coaching. You have bought into the pack-think mentality. That diminishes the value of your opinion to the point it's almost worthless.
I heard one of the peanut vendors had taken a position w/ Cromer's, and would not be back either. The program is falling apart. OMG...what will they do? In experience at equipment mgr. will cost SC 3 wins, minimum.
Are you not team specific, because when Muschamp kicks your @$$ this season, you can remain coward?
Muschamp won 11 games at Fla. one year. He was SEC coach of the year. He's had one losing season. Washed out? You're not very smart are you? Fla., because it made a stupid decision on Zook, did not give Muschamp a fair shot. Foley is the wash out. Gator fans will figure that out soon enough. Gamecock fans are already reaping the benefit. Also: saying SC failed at attempts in hiring other coaches is lazy reporting. That's not true and makes you look ignorant. I quit reading after that.
If you're a Democrat in Obama's America, the law does not apply to you. Especially if you are Black.
Democrat Racists, who hate whites, are tearing down this country. And Hillary is urging the angry, hateful people. I'm just glad it's Mizzou being destroyed by this. And I hope other schools learn that pacifying Bigots in the Democrat Party only makes our culture worse.
"Painful for who"...You're painful to read.... Learn how to REPORT. You suck at editorializing in an alleged NEWS story.
Hate-based Bigots, like Cam Newton, are what is WRONG with sports. It's what is wrong w/ our country too. Cam is the epitome of Barack Obama politics of entitlement, hate and division. Let's end the nightmare in Nov.
HaHa. Good one. and a lot of stupid people actually believe that ignorance.
The writer of this article is ridiculous to make excuses for Cam. It's not understandable. This clown was GIVEN the NFL's MVP. He needs to grow up and be professional. He failed in an ugly way MAN-UP...don't play punk. All people do is defend this race-based and petulant little whiner, ego-maniac. A lot of us were not so unhappy to see him fall apart in the face of pressure. I actually thought he had it coming.
I pray the man gets well...but he's a coward for not standing up to those filthy race-baiting jerks.
I'm not a Mizzou fan, so I'm thrilled they recruited a bunch of race-baiting bigots, who destroyed their team. And if their fans are STUPID enough to support these racists, they deserve what they get. I'd boycott until every last hateful jerks was dumped. And they need to fire that fool they hired to replace the white dude that got fired. And now Cam is whining about racism. This country is a total freakin' mess under Obama. If we don't wake up, and obliterate the Democrat Party at the ballot box, we'll swirl down the toilet even more.
After the coaches have taken their places, and we've had time to digest the hires. I think South Carolina snookered Ga. in the end. It will take Smart a few years just to be as good as Richt. Muschamp has had his OTJ Training. He got another chance, and he's working like a man who will PROVE he belongs. Gamecock fans should be glad Ga. saved them from Smart. I'm just not sure he's cut out to be a head coach in the SEC. ACC maybe, but not the SEC. It's not the place for your first rodeo.
Hard work will not do Smart any good if he has no talent as a head coach. Smart is expected to win big, and win quick. That's a lot to ask of a guy who will be On-the-Job training for a few seasons. I think it can get ugly quick at UGa. And a lot of people probably think Ga. deserves it.
Smart is IMMEDIATELY under A LOT of pressure. He better WIN QUICK...or the fan'll be demanding he's FIRED. I'll be very surprised if he has any extended success at Ga. It's a bad situation to walk into, especially w/ NO head coaching experience.
I'm very impressed with Muschamp. He gets it. He will do well.
Skai is staying. And SC was not nearly as down as the record indicated. The defensive coaches were atrocious. If Spurrier would have fired them after 2014, he would have had a nice retirement tour, w/ SC winning a few more games. Muschamp is the best hire in the SEC this year. I expect a pretty quick turnaround at SC, and it will just get better. Muschamp learned from his mistakes at Fla. The biggest loser in 2015 was Florida and Ga. I expect those programs have a few years before they are where they want to be. Mizzou and Fla. will likely have to dump their current HCs before those programs are solid.
My guess is that Foley will be fired. Fla. for screwing up w/ Muschamp. The Gators had a fluke 2015 year, riding on Muschamp's coattails. And Florida paid for Muschamp's OTJ Training, and he'll win fairly quickly - and a lot - at SC. He has proven he learned a lot at Florida's expense. Florida looked worse as the season went on. And 2016 will be not as good as 2015. The only McIlwain who will be in the SEC in 3 years, is Brandon.
That list may be a good indication as to why Richt got fired, Summlin is on the hot seat, and Auburn fires its coach every 2 or 3 years. Seems the same schools are most likely to squander talent. If you are a recruit, you may need to consider the track record of those schools.
How does feel knowing he'd be FIRED right now...except his buyout is too high? That's gotta smart. (:
Yeah all Spurrier could lure to USC were losers like: Clowney, Culliver, Dimarco, Lattimore, Alshon, Gilmore, Swearinger, Shaw, Thompson, Quarles, Davis, Sanders, Cann, /Anderson, Cook, Ellington, Ingram, Johnson.... SC was the only offers they got. Is that right, since you're such a recruiting expert...
