Only 10k people dying from COVID is BS. Look up how death certificates are written up. If you don't believe it look at the increase in deaths this year or google excessive deaths. The COVID death count is actually underreported based on the total deaths observed.
Actually your wording is wrong. He said there were not observed cases where masked worked. And then the data came in, and he said the data says it works for this. The dude is up to speed on the latest data if you bother to listen. That's science not politics.
These are the reported CDC infection fatality numbers by age group vs the flu from two years ago:
0-19 years: 0.003% <- Flu .006%
20-49 years: 0.02% <- Flu .02%
50-69 years: 0.5% <- Flu .05% 10x
70+ years: 5.4% 200k. COVID is a whole lot worse than the flu.
Acting like this is no big deal is only fine if you are not at risk and don't care about anybody else. It sucks, I want football in person but it's not happing with loaded stands until next year.
