While I like Napier and wish him great success, I disagree. Another year of this and he would be out. I think the question is, what is the fewest number of wins he can get next year and still be retained? It might be 8.
First, this website is ridiculous with the pop up ad and expand comments button. And I can’t seem to stay logged in. IDK.. Second, I would love for the Gators to have significant improvement this year. It would be a great story for Napier to silence the noise. Wish the Gators were a more supportive fan base. Momentum is so big in the recruiting world - as we’re seeing from FSU. Patience through this little season will help us rebuild momentum with some good coaching hires and more success next year.
Alright, Florida, let's bring in the new coaches and stop the bleeding. I can understand the desire to improve draft stock, however I don't think he makes this decision pre-NIL. Makes it easier for these players to stay one more year, but man.. wanted him to stay at FL.
I hereby express my wish that Squirrel and Juice play on the same team.
As much as I hate to admit it as a Gator fan, I think FSU got screwed a lot more. Dan Mullen's argument is pretty strong - another irony there with the former Gators coach. Definitely Alabama (head to head victory) and probably Texas (conference champion) had to go in before Georgia. Also, I would be willing to bet that if Michigan lost their championship this year, they'd be out. That being said, I think the playoff will be much more entertaining football WITHOUT FSU. I don't think TV money really plays a role here, the committee members are not paid. However, that'd be a great Netflix special one day if it turned out that ESPN paid a couple of them to steer the deliberations :)
Impressed with the class of most of the Bulldog fans on this thread. Great game.
lol that is a great comment but not as applicable here as it’s a “neutral” location
Don’t worry, I caught the mic after you dropped it
Nice. Also, I thought Kamyrn Waites was still recovering from injury - how is he on the depth chart?
I don’t see the Gators coming out flat for this one. Night game. Still have something to prove after last year and poor Utah showing and slow offensive 2nd half of Tenn. I think they’re hungry.
Lol. I love that you have embraced this persona. A gender neutral hug lol get outta here
I’m also a little surprised I haven’t heard more out of Kamari Wilson. Perhaps he’ll step up more as the year progresses.
Well that was fun. 1,347 different players made appearances for the Gators tonight, 900 were true freshmen and 150 were redshirt freshmen. On a serious note, Napier is loading up on some young talent, considering the 2023 and 2024 classes. While this will probably be a frustrating year, I think the Gators will win a big game or 2 that we aren’t supposed to. In 2 years, with Lagway as a sophomore, a whole lotta talent around, and hopefully a special teams coordinator and perhaps an offensive coordinator lol, the Gators will be a very good team. Patience is a virtue. I don’t like it, but it is.
Did Kamari Wilson play at all against Utah? Is he injured?
If you’re talking about the deep td pass, that wasn’t Castell it was Moten
After watching LSU FSU, anything can happen. Glad this game is in the swamp. I think Billy will keep the team mentally on track this week.
I didn’t see much pass rush. Kinda hard to tell with all Rising’s bootlegs.
Florida did play a significantly better team but your point is taken.
I’d like to throw my name into the hat for consideration. Had a pretty impressive run managing the Gators in NCAA Football 2003. One of the players I “recruited” was 6’7” and had a 99 speed, power, and accuracy rating… just sayin.
