To darthA: Gee, sounds a lot like Nick Saban, who's machine-like and seems to be working well for him. Maybe Aranda just doesn't like being a machine. Too bad; being Saban-like could be a good thing.
2 of greatest teams ever, but likely decisive measure is strength of teams played. One played an SEC only schedule followed by SEC championship and 2 CFP opponents. The other played and defeated a decisively historic number of top 10 ranked teams in a 12 game schedule followed by SEC championship and 2 CFP opponents. It doesn’t get much closer than that, but there is a clear difference.
Third time may be the charm for Les Miles, always true Blue as a Michigan man. At this juncture of his career, this would likely be his last opportunity, if he is approached. It is just natural for anyone to want to lead his alma mater on the same field where he played and on the campus where the golden years of college life were lived. If he goes, I like a choice like Rich Rodriguez at Arizona to take over in Baton Rouge....much more attractive offense for LSU fanbase.
