That was maybe a foul, maybe not. But just as close was Vescovi being pushed, maybe not being pushed, out of bounds by Broome’s left hand. I don’t think he goes tumbling into the Auburn bench on his own.
I don’t see how UGA doesn’t get to the playoffs. Their toughest game on paper appears to be at UT. Even if UT is able to beat them, UGA will not lose another game with their schedule. At worst case, they’re 11-1, and don’t play in the SECCG. They’d still go with that resume. Aside from complacency or average/poor QB play, it’s almost a lock. I’m a UT fan, but I’m being realistic about UGA.
Good news for SC. He was lights out against UT, very good against Clemson although the two interceptions were really awful (no pressure just bad throws), and good but not great against ND. He has the ability, he just needs to up the consistency. Weird how he didn’t get it going until the last few games. They’re gonna have to get the ground game going too, or teams will tee off on him. Good decision by him though.
Unless they get blown out, I think TCU is in regardless of win or loose. Say what you want, but their resume and only one loss would be better than anyone else can offer up. Only question is who would get in in USC loses? Bama, OSU and their grand total of one Top25 win, or Tenn (with their beat down at USC). Who knows…
That’s a tough call. Both were awesome. I think HH is the better passer, but Young is freaking impossible to get down and was on target most of the game. Who would you want to win it at the end?. Young did have the low throw to Gibbs. Accurate throw and it’s game over. HH calmly hit two passes for 40+ yards. I don’t know….
I’d agree about clock management. They were just lollygagging down the field and left TO’s in their pocket. WTH? Inexcusable. I saw that for too many years at UT, it’s infuriating. If you’re gonna lose at least give it your best to not lose. It’s amazing that these coaches do these knucklehead things. Saban passing at the end of the game allowed UT to keep their TO’s. You’d think he’d know that even 15-20 seconds is enough for that offense to pick up 40 yards.
I like watching Levis play, and I think he’s a really tough competitor. I just don’t see how NFL scouts are drooling over him though. His numbers don’t jump out at you, he turns the ball over. This is not a knock at all, it’s more of a question. Any insight?
UT and TAMU should have both mailed it in and rested. Clearly winning it and making it to to the champ game made no difference to either. Duke and their six quad 1 wins could have lost by 50 ystdy and they were still locked into their 2 seed. Some things never change. Best of luck to UT and TAMU. Make the “experts” eat their decisions.
I agree. Should be a good fight for second. Only reason UK was second this yr was their cross over games, otherwise it’s a close match. Those make all the difference in the world.
UM does does not have an elite QB, which clearly is needed to beat UGA. Bama's O-line stepped up big time too. I think this is a good match-up for UGA. UM is no slouch but they don't have the QB or WRs it takes to beat the Dawgs.
This should be a decent test for UK, but a fairly easy win nonetheless. Iowa has played exactly one current Top 25 team, and they were blown out. 10-3 with a very weak schedule hardly makes for an imposing opponent.
