I'm thinking that the SEC will add new markets first, with the next expansion. Specifically, into NC, and VA. Some combo of UNC/NCSU, and, UVA/VPI. Then add CU and FSU to get to 20. JMHO.
It's a crazy idea. That said, in the ACC's position, you cannot blame them for looking for ways to get more money. The SEC and B10 have left them in the dust. And, it might be their only play.

The large majority of the Carolina fanbase would be 100% in favour of joining the SEC. But, the NC Legislature would want assurances that NCSU has a place to land as well. And, the PTBs in Chapel Hill would lose their minds.
TBT, I'd bring UVa along, rather than Duke. Like Carolina, they have potential in FB, and, they've got solid basketball, and, baseball programs.
I hope to God that it's Carolina, and UVa.

The ACC got four, too. Which was a bit surprising. I think that any of the four could possibly reach Omaha, but, I don't see any of them winning it all.
The SEC getting tougher, top to bottom, can only help the league. Iron sharpens iron. Y'all are on the right track.

How long do you believe it'll be before the SEC replaces the ACC as the top conference?
