I think they were all upset because they showed up to the football game and saw the other team was wearing the same color helmets... come on ladies, back me up on this one.
My two absolute most favorite teams are Texas A&M and whoever is playing Texas. If it came down to the horns and the Russians, I'd order vodka.
Sounds like a clear case of the most popular player for the Tide being whoever the backup QB is.
arkansasfan2015 We put in a walk-on RB in the 4th quarter-- he RAN the ball for 86 yards and a TD. What else were we supposed to do? Fumble the ball and any Aggie that tries to recover has to run laps???
He's a young guy, with a bright future. He's heard nothing but how good he's going to be. He scores his first touchdown and he shows off. Foolish and immature, yes; classless, no. Classless would have been if Les Miles had let it go. These guys are still learning, and Les is teaching them well.
I agree with armyguy007 about gray uniforms, I don't like A&M's all gray, but it sounds like the recruits like them so I guess they are here for a while. As for A&M's "Icy Whites," they beat Bama on the road, they beat Carolina on the road, and they beat OU in the Cotton Bowl... They could look like crap and I wouldn't care, they are LUCKY!
You realize that when Florida beat A&M a couple of years ago that the Aggies had to postpone (yes, postpone, not cancel) their first game of the season, and it was Johnny's first ever college game. I wouldn't compare that game with anything current.
I don't know all the different traditions in the SEC, we haven't gotten to play you guys yet. I have to agree that most every school has probably got better traditions than some AV guy pressing the play button and fans jumping for a few minutes. As far as A&M and Mizzou, we're here now, and the list was about school traditions in the SEC. If we were talking about traditional games, I wouldn't expect to see either school listed, but this is different.
Not EVERY school. A&M has no "Homecoming Game." Our tradition says that every game is a homecoming.
Maybe they need to focus on the team coming on the field, because I didn't see them at all for most of the game.
College football is neck deep in TRADITION!!! Uniforms should be allowed to reflect this tradition. I like seeing legitimate school sayings (Hail State, Anchor Down) on the jerseys. If a team wants to replace players' names with the team mascot, why not? I even like it when names are replaced with words like "Honor," "Courage," "Teamwork." Damn it NCAA, get a life!!!
Sandstorm??? 2001??? Wow, we can pipe in some music. Ooooo, awesome. How about the whole student body standing for the whole game at A&M? How about white jerseys, Victory Hill, or the #18 jersey for LSU? Come on.
Why is the A&M vs Arkansas game on Sept. 27 at AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas) counted as a road game for Arkansas and a neutral site for A&M?
I know you had the Aggies playing texas already on your mind when you wrote this, but A&M has played Baylor 108 times (a few more than Arkansas), and there is plenty of bad blood in the Battle of the Brazos. Remember Ken Starr and Baylor tried to sue for A&M to stay in the Big XII. Not many people outside of Baylor and A&M understand how much we hate each other.
