Sun Belt in-state program issues challenge to Nick Saban, Alabama
I think it had something to do with UAB breaking away from Bama to start a separate athletic program. Bama's board still controls UAB and at the time they still considered UAB a part of Bama and they said then they would never play UAB and they added all in state schools which at the time they were all division 2 schools. That may not be right but I was in college at the time and my crazy English teacher spent most of the semester trying to think of a name but I'm pretty sure she never thought of Blazers.

I like to see the word traditional used to describe SEC teams.
It's the NFL they are more interested in social justice than football that's why I quit watching.
