I believe Dabo made a judgement error. Bryant was good enough to stay starter. Rotate them out, let TL in enough to gain some valuable experience. It wasn’t like the Alabama situation with their QBs. I also believe Bryant should have stuck it out, competed and won the job back. As it turns out, he would be the starter again.. but hindsight is 20/20.
I would much rather listen to Eli Gold on the radio and turn the sound off these two buffoons.. but my cable has about a 7-10 second lag, so I hear the play first, then get to watch the "replay." better than the Tom and Jerry show.. yuk yuk..
I can agree with this assessment.. McCaffrey made a strong performance against USC which just may put him over the top.. the final performances stick in the minds of the voters.
Lest we get off track with what the award is about, here is the criteria as stated in the Heisman Mission Statement >> "outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work." I'm a Bama fan, and certainly am partial to our players getting recognition. Each of these candidates are certainly worthy as each has their own unique contributions to their teams success. if I had a vote, I'd vote Henry - only because I have seen all of Henry's games this year. I have not seen the others but once or twice. But I dont get a vote, and if Henry doesnt get the award, I am not going to belittle the other two because they each apparently are outstanding in their own way. I saw McCaffrey's last game against USC, and it was impressive - although I do tend to lean toward the comments about strength of opponents defenses the candidates have played against. The Clemson QB has some strong stats as well. But I look at this poll like I do the CFP weekly output before the final one - means nothing until the last vote. We may all be surprised Saturday evening.. Good luck to each player and his fan base. RTR!
