Pretty sure there's gonna be a "Webmaster" opening in the Barn Sports Information Dept. tomorrow.........
Nahhhhh.......... he's a little too big for the Gus Bus.............. Buw-hahahaha !!!!!
Looks like Evans just put a pie in Auburn's face..............BA-ZInnnnnnnnnnnnnG !!!
Fairly confident that Marlon Humphrey was the final "gotta have" for us. Carter or Evans would be nice pickups simply to stick it to Georgia and that "other" school. Otherwise, they're just icing on the cake. The commits on the defensive side of the ball are already nothing short of mind-blowing.
I just don't get the "morally bad" part. True, he left Tennessee after a year, but after the way they canned Fulmer (their best coach for the last 50 years), when the opportunity at USC became available, I just saw it as taking a chance to be where he clearly had more comfort. The Vol fan base has become schizophrenically fickle and unable to land anyone that approached Fulmers' reputation for winning. After he got canned at USC, he simply took the best available option for his family and his career...... morally bad ?. If you were canned at your job, wouldn't you do the same thing ?
Since we're speculating, I see Kentucky as a 6 win team this year- irrespective of where Elam ends up. But you're right, it would give the 'Cats something to look forward to for perhaps the next 2 years..... then he probably declares and goes pro anyway.
Hey Brian, Thanks for taking a moment to reply. No, I'm not saying that anyone who verbally commits is just "blowing smoke". But the number of verbal commits who flip before signing day seem to have become more of a common occurrence in recent years. I suppose it's just the nature of the recruiting process as it exists today. I think it (to some degree) explains why so many schools over-sign potential prospects. They have to factor in the possibility of attrition at key positions with highly sought out talents.in order to solidify the future their programs. But lets be candid, there are clearly variables at play that can alter a prospects' allegiance before all is said and done. The sudden departure of Towns this past week is a perfect example- although many feel it's primarily due to Kiffin, no one but Towns actually knows why. As such, I maintain cautious optimism, but understand that all of the guessing and speculation in the world assures no guarantee until it's over. Fair enough ??
I find that all of the pre-signing day hype amounts to little more than media "experts" speculating based on heresay and what they read online..... until they "sign on the line", it's ALL talk.
the butthurt is strong in your post...... see 'ya Oct. 25th.
speculation...... at best. I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with the fact that Bama already has no less than 4 now that could play next year for virtually any school in the nation.
Wow...... callin' it a season after Week 2, huh ? Gator Nation, indeed...............
