Georgia grad

I don't like this. Not to be a typical doom and gloom Georgia fan, but I think this hurts us with recruits as well with developing players going forward. The tradition of great RBs will persist but it's harder to be running back U when the guy in charge of the position isn't around. I'm worried about Georgia becoming Muschamp-era Florida. Great hire for Miami...
They will compete for ACC titles very quickly once CMR gets his staff and players involved. He inherits a team that isn't devoid of talent and except for the yearly match up with FSU, he goes into the weaker division. I think he will have an easier time getting that program going again than VT will. I hope he still dominates Tech
he's (McGarity) also the guy who had security placed in front of Butts-Mehre after a few people showed up in protest over Richt and had security prevent players from talking to the media about the firing. Pruitt needs to stay. Schottenheimer should have never been hired and cannot stay another day.
He has said he wants to be at Georgia next year. More money or the opportunity to be the HC somewhere could lure him away. Is there any reason he wouldn't want to work with Kirby again?
I was hoping to see an offensive guy at HC but hiring a good OC to clean up Schotty's mess needs to be priority #1. (in my mind, firing Schotty was a better move than dumping Richt). I really would hate to see Pruitt go but keeping Rocker is big and getting Smart makes losing Pruitt less of a big deal. I would hate to see Muschamp at DC here.
It's almost oxymoronic to think that the risk of Muschamp-ing associated with Smart because he's DC wouldn't also exist with Herman. I think Herman is an exciting hire, he and Pruitt could be very good. Smart is a great coach but I think retaining Pruitt while getting a great offensive guy that can get the most out of players may be better than getting a proven DC that might want his own staff. Finding a true improvement over CMR will be tough.
