We've got a lot more issues than what meets the eye. Ranked 80th in the nation on 3rd down conversions. Defense giving up an average 4 yards per play. Opposition Red Zone scoring is 75% The only stat where we are in the top 15 in the nation is Red Zone scoring... everywhere else on paper... we're struggling. We face one hell of an offense next week... Ole Miss completions - nearly 70% Ole Miss 3rd down conversions - nearly 70% RZ scoring... 0% because they have scored over 140 points in two games, and HAVEN'T been in the Red Zone YET. It's gonna be a long season folks... and I think the hits start next Saturday. Ole Miss 31 - Bama 17.
I think you're cutting yourself short. I don't see top ten either... but I do see top 15. You can't consider yourself out of the top 25... not yet at least.
Not a SC fan... but if I had to guess, I'd say that loss seals Spurriers retirement.
17 offensive points against Vandy.... yep... the dawgs will be the SEC champs... yep... They won't make it to Atlanta this year. Bet that.
And LSU squeaks by on a missed field goal... what's your point?
Yeah... and we (Bama) lost to Louisiana Monroe not too many years ago. Any given Saturday a top tier team can be exposed. We've dealt with the downside of that in the past as well... have some class.
When you have to "find a way to win" against an FCS team... it's time to find a new direction.
"Coach always said we would find a way to win..." When you have to "find a way to win" against an FCS team... it may be time to start looking in another direction.
Dude... I'd calm down on the smack talk right now. LSU looked pretty rough.
I agree with you here. Auburn struggled. Georgia only scored 17 offensive points against the SEC Caboose. Bama can't pass a ball. Arkansas... well... I think that says it all. LSU barely pulled it out. And Ky coming over the top on what was supposed to be an SEC East favorite. I don't think the SEC is what it used to be...
