OK...many of the "experts" are picking A&M last in the SECW, and on top of that you're picking us to drop our opener against ASU. Got it. Wish all the opposing coaches were writing us off also, but they're probably way too smart.
Look for Daeshon Hall (DE), Otaro Alaka (LB), and Justin Evans (S) to have a big impact this year in addition to Garrett. 'Respectable' is relative I suppose, but I believe most Aggies expect A&M's defense to improve to middle of the pack in the SEC this year. That would be enough to make some waves in 2015.
Other than J.T. Barrett — who nearly made a Heisman Trophy run out of nowhere in ’14 for Ohio State — Texas hasn’t produced much in the way of standout college quarterback play since ’09.

As far as running back depth goes, James White should get a lot of carries this season.
Not sure Devonta Burns is still with the team (graduation?). In any case I believe you'll see Noel Ellis at nickel.
In fairness, we (Texas A&M) had a disappointing season last year and we'll need to put together a string of successful seasons before we start earning the respect.
