I can only assume that the writer is referring to LSWHo's ranking (the mere fact that the Tigers are ranked), because 'Bama only loses to ranked teams (when they do lose!)

It is frustrating as a fan to see some teams play each other only every 5 or six years or so. Imagine these games every other year: Bama v. UGA; Auburn v. UF; LSU v. UGA; Bama v. UF; T&AM v. UGA; etc.

I would like to see the SEC do away with the divisions. Each of the 14 teams could have 3 permanent rivals (for example: Alabama would have Auburn, Tenn, and MSU) and then play the other 10 teams on a 2 year rotating schedule. Five teams one year and five the next. Within a 4 year period, each team would play all of the other conference teams at least 2 times (home and away). The rivals would play 4 times (2 home and 2 away). Take the top 2 teams after the 8 conference games and send them to Atlanta. Tiebreakers (including head-to-head) would exist to pick the teams that advance to the conference championship game. The West and East really doesn't matter (at least in basketball anyway), so do away with the divisions in football.
