This fund you are talking about is a student assistance fund and is determined by the conference's office not the the individually universities themselves. The fund is set up by the NCAA with money from TV deals for student athletes for have unusual financial hardship. One of the main reasons is students who have a death in the family and can not afford a plane ticket home or for clothes. The money can used for almost anything that isn't covered by their scholarship. Meaning this money CAN NOT be used for rent, which Tunsil asked for. Also, while it is entirely possible that Tunsil was asking for SAF money, I doubt the NCAA would be investigating money that they gave him.
LOL, Keep and eye on. How about Jovon Robinson 6ft 230?. If you are going to pump bama players at least use the right one. Hint, Ed Lacy is 235.
Just off the top of my head... Fournette, Gurley, Arian Foster, Cam, Kniles Davis, and Jacob Hester all are significantly larger and rushed for 1,000 yards.
You know how I know this article is trash, because Yeldon is on this list and Fournette, Cam, and Gurley are not. Might as well delete this.
you do realize your need to write that proves the opposite, right?
Yeah, Updyke clearly wasn't obsessed with Auburn when he poisoned the oak trees. Or that birmingham women wasn't thinking of Auburn when she shot and killed her friend for "not being upset enough" after the kick six. totally irrelevant
Brady never won a super bowl with welker or moss. and who do you think put vinatieri in position to hit those fgs? (something Manning couldn't do btw) You can not compare the wrs/te of Manning's one super bowl win to ANY of Brady's. I gave you the stats earlier. And the one time Brady ever had what I would consider an elite WR (moss) they set every NFL record and came one all time catch away from going 18-0.
Manning's targets in 06 had 15 career pro bowls, 2,677 rec, 34,590 rec yards, and 331 career tds. Bradys first super bowl team: 1 pro bowl (tony brown as a returner) 1,327 rec, 15,509 rec yards and 92 career tds.
You can't be serious? Edleman and Amendola are elite talents????? Can you name one wr on his 01, 03, or 04 champ teams..... Deon Branch is elite? When Manning went in '06 he had Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, Dallas Clark and in '09 he had Wayne, Garcon, and Clark. Manning has gone with elite talent and thrown a pick six when trying to lead a gaming winning drive.... something Brady never did including his losses, both of which he drove his team down the field to take the lead late in the 4th. I'm not really a fan of either qbs, but to say brady had more talent then manning is insane.
dude the NCAA just presented Ole Miss with their proof. It isn't baseless when the NCAA formally charges you.
Dude he was suspended for 7 games they found a lot. Unpaid loans, unpaid rental cars, plane tickets, etc.
seriously.... Auburn has won three sec champs in the last 10 years and played for a national champ 2 times in 4 years, winning one. No SEC has more undefeated teams than Auburn. Im not too concerned with back to back 10 wins season. Thats a uga thing
The issue is these kids don't understand how much them playing college football cost. They see huge number like this and think its all going into somebodies pocket. They don't understand that the nice dorms and dinning halls, the ridiculous weight rooms, the huge stadiums, all the travelling, cost a lot of money. Auburn's athletics department has lost money the last 2 year, LOST. while yes, the people running the SEC and NCAA make good money its no different than anyone else running a billion dollars businesses.
Dude what on earth are you talking about? There are zero rumors about anyone hitting women. Auburn had one arrest this spring and the kid is gone. This is a truly awesome story that could really inspire some young kids. Only goobers could find anything bad about this story. This is the problem with SEC football, too many people lose sight by being blinded with hate.
Finebaum is to sports what the kardashians are to society. Stop making stupid people famous.
Well Mandel, your first mistake was listening to Finebaum
seems to be a lot of issues going on in that program
Haha, the real question is how much cheating did nick learn from bill.
Auburn hasn't had NCAA sanctions since 1993, but nice try
I get that Petrino is a great coach, but starting two true freshman on the Oline is pretty hard to over come. Especially in week one. If this was 2014 I'd say maybe but the addition of Lawson, Boom, and Cowart has substantially fixed the pass rush issue.
That argument is so dumb. Maybe he wasn't ready when he was a true freshman. Nick Marshall was tops in the country every in QBR. He won an SEC and played for a national champ. Tebow sat behind Chris Leake. Was Tebow a terrible college QB because he couldn't beat out Leake? The best college football player ever, Barry Sanders, sat on the bench his freshman and sophomore year behind Thurman Thomas.
I get you are defending your team, but thats just the truth. Auburn has 3 5* lineman (Cowart, Adams, Lawson) and a 2 five star linebackers (Williams and Frost) But the stars don't really matter now its about production on the field. Auburn has better linebackers and secondary. Chavis will turn it around cause dude is awesome but the reason more people are high on Auburn than A&M is the defense has more pieces this year.
Auburn has lost 1 game at home in the last 2 years and it was a butt fumble
You know how I know MSU is a trash program? They didn't win their division, they got rolled in their bowl game, and they lost to Ole Miss but still act like last year was a success.
Are you really calling him a homer for predicting the defending national champs and by far the strongest looking team to make the playoffs?
Y'all are 4-7 at Kyle field in the SEC since joining the league. Not really that scary.
pretty simple. Auburn didn't have their sophomore pass rush leader last year. Now they do. Auburn has two NFL quality senior LBs, A&M does not. Auburn adds two very high profile transfers to help the secondary, Countess former all big 10 and Matthews. Both offensives are awesome, so looking on that side of the ball is a waste. Auburn has done more to correct their D than A&M has. Auburn got torched through the air last year because they had 0 pass rush not because of talent in the back end. Auburn was tied for the lead with 22 ints, A&M was last with 5. Its not a shot at A&M because I think they are very good, but the generally feeling is Auburn has the defensive talent just needs to be coached up while A&M lacks some of that talent.
